Led by the former Vanity Fair Events Director, Social Studies makes it easy to say “yes” to hosting by providing digital convenience, curation & affordability, along with personalized guidance, go-to content and elevated partnerships.

Position Objective:
The Social Media Editor will manage our ever growing social footprint across all social channels and have a passion for community management. Additionally you will own and thoughtfully drive brand awareness and sales through UGC campaigns driven by relationships with key influencers and their networks. This role reports into the Vice President, Marketing.

The ideal candidate is passionate about marketing, social media and fostering a community who loves entertaining, culture and all things home. You’re a content creator and a natural networker with an elevated eye and deep understanding of each social platform's unique needs across video and photo. This role requires a strong copywriter with a unique style that’s the perfect blend of cheeky and approachable; your voice will be our social media storefront, and lead our community program. You obsess over design, are highly creative and full of ideas but also think strategically. Constant evolution and learning is a given in this position and you’ve got your pulse on the newest trends in social media, and an eye on brands with strong community support and innovative visual storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media
Plan and execute social media strategy, aligned with marketing and content calendars, to support business goals, drive awareness, traffic, and sales
Manage and maintain all social channels including Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Spotify and Clubhouse
Launch and manage TikTok and YouTube channels
Pitch and design new creative templates and ideas to support marketing & product initiatives (video editing + graphic design)
Create and edit high-quality content and translate from copy to video/photo, Reels, TikTok, YouTube and beyond
Organically grow social following across all channels to hit monthly/quarterly follower goals while maintaining high engagement
Actively participate in our comments and DM’s daily across platforms
Own the social media content calendar and publishing cadence for social channels that aligns with brand marketing calendar, editorial, and cultural moments & trends
Own day-to-day planning and execution, including caption writing, curating UGC, post scheduling, and community management
Maintain a consistent social media publishing schedule, always ideating new content opportunities and campaigns that are cohesive and on-brand
Ensure diverse backgrounds are reflected across all channels (age, gender, race, location)
Work closely with digital marketing team on paid campaigns
Ideate, pitch and manage UGC concepts & publish dates
Proactively work with UGC contributors on permissions for image usage
Organize and manage our growing library of UGC content
Provide weekly reporting and analysis - monitor, analyze and report social metrics to propose effective strategies for community growth
Brainstorm and execute new ways to engage our social audiences while communicating core brand messaging
Ideate, manage and execute giveaways to drive growth and engagement
Support and collaborate on marketing campaigns and influencer outreach
Manage gifting for social media campaigns

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from 4 year college or university
3+ years relevant experience across social media and community management
Extremely detail orientated
Multi-tasker and hyper organized across internal and external communications
Excellent service and hospitality skills, with a smile
Strong interest in entertaining, lifestyle, home, culture hospitality and travel industries
Strong presentation development and delivery skills
Writer with a knack to connect across channels
Expert content creator, producer and editor for video and stills across Instagram (all platforms), Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Zoom, a passion for Twitter is a plus
Highly proficient in Keynote, Pages, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
Strong analytical and reporting skills with deep knowledge of Google Analytics and reporting tools used across all social media platforms
Experience working on paid campaigns is a plus
Poised and polished with a professional mindset with superior judgment
Capable of operating in an evolving and often unstructured environment
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Role is flexible to be in NY, Austin or based remotely for through 2021 with some required travel for planned team and staff meetings
Must love cats, dogs, or both
