About the Role

As the Director, Clinical and Insurance Operations you will be responsible for scaling our registered dietician network and operationalizing Season’s clinical care delivery system, including licensing, credentialing and billing, through improvements to systems and processes. In this role, you will be able to directly impact the growth of our clinical practice and business as a whole. We are looking for a strategic subject-matter expert who is adept at complex problem-solving and clear communication while also being able to get into the details to manage and execute that vision tactically through effective project management, modeling, reporting, and ownership of KPIs.

This role will report into our VP of Finance and will partner closely with our Clinical team as well as with teams across the organization to bring increased operational efficiencies so we all can focus on what matters most, the care of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize Season's clinical provider staffing forecasting and process inclusive of a W2 and 1099 workforce and building an onboarding playbook.
  • Own core operational processes (such as clinical capacity planning, licensing, credentialing, billing etc.) and clinical operational KPIs
  • Manage the credentialing and FFS billing team members and vendors
  • Work alongside the Clinical team to build frameworks for managing clinical success and quality, including oversight of clinician scorecard (across care quality, patient satisfaction) and key operational data and metrics (e.g. appointments attended, utilization, etc).
  • Provide leadership in recommending, developing, planning and implementing our clinical tools (home grown or off the shelf) and is a resource for our Product team in charting a course for increased clinical efficiency and quality.
  • As part of billing, institute and manage a fluid system for eligibility checks and patient communications regarding their insurance coverage.
  • Build, manage, and communicate Season's systematic understanding of insurance coverage and benefit design by plan/market.
  • Build and maintain processes for communication and resolutions with health plans as it relates to referrals, authorizations, eligibility, claims, etc.
  • Develop a process to collect the patient's financial responsibilities.
  • Determine new ways to optimize Season’s revenue growth.
  • Lead strategic cross-functional planning sessions for clinical care.

About You

  • 6-8 years of deep, operational experience including creating, scaling and running process improvements within a high-growth, fast-paced, and high-performing telehealth business
  • Expertise in operational building and management of end-to-end execution projects/programs across multiple cross-functional partners
  • Experience leading and managing teams, both cross-functional stakeholder leadership and direct people management with the ability to solve management issues and direct numerous and varied operations simultaneously
  • Strong executive communicator, partner and teammate with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences in small and large group settings
  • Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance, hold people accountable for achieving deliverable metrics, encourage team participation, and motivate others through a shared vision
  • Advanced data-analysis skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in an asynchronous, fast-paced remote environment autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in provider-sensitive roles that require time-sensitive, thoughtful responses
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise strong initiative, sound judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills
  • Effective at navigating ambiguity and leading through change - excited by a start-up environment and bringing order to the amorphous
  • Technical skills required: Excel, Google Workspace, Slack
  • Knowledge of food and current nutrition trends as well as best practices in nutrition care, a plus
  • Resides in the United States of America

Compensation and Benefits

  • The salary range for this role is $170,000-190,000/yr plus equity
