ŌURA

ŌURA

Administration
San Francisco, CA, USA
Posted on Mar 21, 2026

Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.

Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

We are seeking a Director, Supply Planning to join Oura’s Supply Chain organization. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to the Supply Planning team, ensuring we meet customer service and revenue commitments while optimizing inventory and enabling Oura’s growth.

The Director will be critical in shaping the roadmap for global supply planning systems and processes as we scale the business to new products, programs, regions, contract manufacturers (CMs), and distribution hubs. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, operates at a functional level capable of managing managers and senior ICs, and drives clear cross-functional communication and alignment.

This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office with the expectation to be onsite 3 days per week.

What you will do

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of supply planners and managers across multiple geographic regions.
  • Hire, develop, and mentor direct reports through coaching, performance management, and career development planning.
  • Establish team goals, KPIs, and performance metrics aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day team execution priorities, both delegating effectively and engaging in the details when needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and analytical excellence.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, Go To Market, Business Systems, and Product Management.
  • Present S&OP insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

Set strategy and for Supply Planning

  • Establish the strategy and roadmap for Supply Planning within Supply Demand Management (SDM), aligned to the product roadmap, supply chain roadmap (manufacturing and logistics), and financial targets.
  • Translate strategy into an operating model (roles, cadences, decision rights) across programs, CMs, and hubs, ensuring clear ownership with cross-functional teams.

End‑to‑end production, capacity, and allocation

  • Own the 1-year+ global MPS (Master Production Schedule / Production Plan) by contract manufacturer for all rings and accessories by SKU, connecting supply plans with forecast, materials, capacity, tooling, and inventory strategies.
  • Own weekly build priorities when materials, tools, or capacity are constrained or demand exceeds supply.
  • Own global inventory and allocation strategy and its governance across hubs, in partnership with Demand Planning, Sourcing, Materials, Logistics, Finance, and GTM.

S&OP and cross‑functional impact

  • Serve as the primary owner of current and projected supply available to sell-in for weekly Supply Chain Ops Reviews and monthly executive S&OP forums, clearly articulating constraints, supply risk and opportunity, and recommendations/plans.
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Materials Planning, NPI Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, and Finance to align assumptions and resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Represent Supply Planning in company-level trade-offs, focusing on the customer and ensuring decisions consider both short-term revenue and long-term resiliency and cost.

Tools, data, and process excellence

  • Drive function‑wide process and tooling improvements in partnership with Program Management, Data, and system teams (e.g., new supply planning tools, integrations into the data lake, AI dashboards), with a focus on scalability and quality of decisions, not manual heroics.
  • Define and own Supply Planning KPIs (service levels, TWOS/WOS, fill rate, adherence to plan, capacity utilization) and use them to hold teams accountable and to guide continuous improvement across CMs and hubs.
  • Identify and lead cross-functional improvement projects tied to Monthly S&OP, Weekly SDM Ops Review, and CM reporting, eliminating recurring fire drills and improving predictability.

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • 10+ years of specific supply and inventory planning experience with at least 3+ years in management and leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end planning – sales/demand, materials, manufacturing, and logistics — and how Supply Planning integrates those into one coherent, executable plan for NPI, EOL, and sustaining products.
  • A proven track record of planning across multiple regions, CMs/OEMs, and distribution hubs to support customers globally, with demonstrated improvements in service levels, inventory efficiency and availability, and reliable execution.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP and planning tools (e.g., NetSuite/MRP, advanced planning systems) and spreadsheets, plus comfort defining requirements for new tools, working with BI/analytics teams and using AI to build dashboards.
  • A consistent track record of executing efficiently against strategy, detecting and resolving the biggest cross-functional problems around execution, and driving a culture of operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels and teams, with the ability to influence without authority and lead cross-company efforts that improve how we plan and execute.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex supply and inventory scenarios to C-level stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience standing up or significantly evolving a centralized supply planning function (e.g., new CM onboarding, international expansion, new planning system roll‑out).
  • Background in health tech and/or consumer electronics; fast-paced supply chains.
