As the Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Manufacturing, you will be the primary bridge between Product Development (PD) and Global Manufacturing Operations. You are the single point of contact for all manufacturing process development and deployment within the PD program. Your mission is to ensure that every piece of custom automation, tooling, and test equipment is designed, validated, and deployed on time to meet aggressive product launch milestones.
What You will do:
- Program Single Point of Contact (SPOC): Act as the lead representative for Manufacturing Engineering in all PD program forums.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Work in lockstep with Operations Program Managers (OPMs) and Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) to align equipment schedules with the master product schedule. Bring diverse teams together to tackle complex problems and work towards closure.
- Understand and collaborate in developing the Plan of Record (POR), ensuring qualification plans, checklists and specifications are in place to support production release.
- Equipment Lifecycle Management: Drive the end-to-end development of manufacturing equipment, from initial requirements gathering and vendor selection (RFQs) to Final Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Risk Mitigation: Identify technical bottlenecks in the manufacturing process early in the design phase. Proactively manage dependencies between hardware design changes and equipment capability.
- Change Management: Manage changes impacting Manufacturing area to understand change impact and deployment planning.
- Deployment & Scaling: Oversee the installation and bring-up of manufacturing lines at global sites, ensuring equipment meets yield, cycle time, and reliability targets.
- Budget & Resource Tracking: Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets for manufacturing development and ensure resources are allocated to the highest-priority program workstreams.
We would love to have You on our team if You have:
- Experience: 7+ years of technical project management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (Consumer Electronics, Automotive, or Medical Device preferred).
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of Mechanical/Electrical engineering principles and the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
- Communication: Proven ability to translate complex technical constraints into actionable project plans for non-technical stakeholders. Experience of how to report on the whole and divide the whole into easily understandable sub-entities and KPIs.
- Vendor Management: Experience managing global equipment vendors and Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
- Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Possibility and willingness to travel.
