We’re looking for an Electronics Specialist to join our Core Science and Technology Team in Oulu. As an essential part of Oura’s Technology Team, you’ll take a hands-on role in early-phase technology studies and fast prototyping to explore and evaluate new technologies—and help integrate them into our existing and future products. You’ll play a key role in advancing product concepts from early prototypes to mass production and continuous improvement.

What You will do:

  • Design and develop embedded electronics from concept to production.
  • Create and maintain schematics,technical documentation and review layout designs,
  • Verify and validate electronic designs through lab testing and simulations.
  • Support board bring-up, debugging, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Contribute to technology roadmapping and product architecture discussions.

We would love to have You on our team, if You have:

  • 5 years of experience in electronics design.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture
  • Strong understanding of digital components and interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, etc).
  • Hands-on experience throughout the entire product development cycle.
  • Solid skills in debugging and hardware bring-up.
  • Experience in electronics testing, including hands-on use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other measurement tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively to meet project timelines.
  • B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

We also appreciate following competencies, but these are not mandatory:

  • Experience with signal integrity, power integrity, or schematic simulation tools.
  • Layout design competence
  • Knowledge of low-power design techniques.
  • Background in analog design, especially for vital sign measurements.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Familiarity with EMC design practices.
