Why an Associate Planner is Needed:

Needed has rapidly grown to become a leading science-backed women’s health brand. Achieving ongoing growth necessitates detailed attention to inventory planning management. As an Associate Planner, you will support our planning team across a myriad of tasks, helping to ensure that Needed Planning/ Operations runs as smoothly as possible and that more senior team member time is spent as efficiently as possible. This is an incredible opportunity for someone more junior in their career eager to learn by being part of a fast-growing start-up and diving deep into supplement industry manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, planning, and product commercialization functions.

As an Associate Planner, you will:

Join our planning team, reporting to our Director of Planning and supporting planning functions with cross-functional communication with supply chain operations, product commercialization, and marketing teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Work in our demand planning tool to plan bottoms up product level forecasts that tie up to monthly budget goals
  • Make recommendations for inventory buys on a monthly cadence
  • Manage SKU and UPC creation/setup across DTC and Wholesale
  • Set up multi-product bundles in Shopify, 3PL, and internal tools
  • Create, maintain, and own communication of Purchase Orders
  • Placement of Wholesale Orders and Amazon orders through our 3PL system
  • Assist in monthly inventory reconciliation
  • Provide monthly rolling forecasts of inventory buys to our vendors
  • Assist in Monthly Planning Recap meetings with cross-functional partners

Who You Are:

  • BS/BA from a top university
  • 4+ years experience in retail or DTC with 1+ year of planning/merch.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes with a “no task is too small” mentality
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Eager to learn and energized by problem-solving
  • High precision/detail orientation and organization skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced task-switching and collaborative environments
  • Ability to confidently manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A self-starter who is proactive and able to deliver results
  • Drawn to Needed's mission of empowering optimal nutrition for women and their families
  • Energized to join a lean, entrepreneurial team in which everyone is expected to make a big impact
  • Supplement industry experience isn’t required, but a passion for learning and growing in it is

Other details:

  • This is a remote role - the company is headquartered in Los Angeles; but travel to our manufacturing partners and warehouse may be required from time to time
