Moon Juice is looking for a strategic, culturally fluent, and creatively driven Sr Social Media Manager to lead our social vision into its next chapter of growth. This role blends data-backed insight with bold storytelling to translate Moon Juice’s wellness mission into a scroll-stopping, social-first brand experience.

You’ll develop breakthrough strategies that grow our community, amplify brand storytelling, and drive measurable business impact. Equal parts strategist, cultural curator, and creator, you’ll partner with creative to ensure social content is not only on-brand, but impossible to ignore.

You gather context, craft clear creative briefs, and lead collaborative brainstorms that push work forward.

You will lead strategy and visual execution, guiding creative development, optimizing content performance by platform, and infusing our channels with a fresh, future-facing approach that keeps Moon Juice at the forefront of health and culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Lead the inspiration, development and execution of innovative, cross-platform social strategies that align with brand objectives and drive measurable growth (IG + TikTok)
  • Define the long-term vision for Moon Juice's social media presence, ensuring the brand remains a leader in culture, content, and category disruption

Social Creative Strategy

  • Develop insightful, inspiring creative briefs and shape social-first creative that blends audience insight, cultural fluency, and performance learnings into platform-native storytelling that earns attention and drives connection.
  • Stay hyper-attuned to platform shifts, social trends, content formats, brand, audience, industry, and competitive research—using AI tools and manual monitoring to surface high-signal ideas with creative potential.
  • Lead and facilitate brainstorms and creative development with rigor and imagination—helping creative teams develop work that is emotionally engaging, insight-led, and made to win in the feed.

Content Planning + Execution

  • Responsible for the full content lifecycle—from strategy to scheduling to publishing—ensuring timely, platform-optimized execution across all channels.
  • Manage content calendars, maintaining a clear, consistent cadence that supports brand and campaign priorities.
  • Create content directly when needed—concepting, shooting, editing, designing lightweight assets (Canva/CapCut), and quickly bringing social-first ideas to life without always relying on larger creative production.
  • Operate with a creator mindset—comfortable making high-quality, lo-fi, reactive, founder-led, trend-native, and behind-the-scenes content quickly and efficiently.
  • Partner with Creative to establish social-first creative guidelines for visuals and copy, ensuring consistency across platforms, creators, and owned assets. Ensure that all content is visually appealing, on-brand, and optimized for platform-specific audiences and features
  • Partner closely with founder to identify culturally relevant opportunities, capture founder POV, and translate deep product knowledge into compelling founder-led social content and storytelling.
  • Develop scrappy, high-impact approaches to creator, influencer, and UGC content—identifying opportunities to source, repurpose, and integrate creator assets across owned channels in ways that maximize cultural relevance and business impact.
  • Serve as liaison to Creative and Paid teams, ensuring organic and paid efforts complement one another (via boosting, whitelisting, spark, etc.)

Performance + Insights

  • Define and own social KPIs (engagement, growth, conversion, attribution), and build reporting frameworks to inform strategy and storytelling.
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset—running creative experimentation across formats and platforms, tracking results, and feeding learnings back into the strategy loop. Form hypotheses, review social performance metrics, and identify trends to fuel iterative creative improvement.

Social Listening

  • Lead proactive cultural listening and trend spotting across platforms to identify early signal in lifestyle and culture - fueling timely, ownable moments for Moon Juice before they break mainstream

Community Management

  • Build and manage a robust community by responding to comments, DMs, and driving engagement through conversation-worthy moments and authentic two-way dialogue with our audience.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in social media strategy—ideally you have worked as a social creative strategist at an agency or within a high-growth, culturally relevant brand/DTC startup.
  • Deep curiosity around wellness, ingredients, and functional health, with the ability to turn wellness science into social-first storytelling — translating ingredients, benefits, and functional health concepts into content that feels human, entertaining, and easy to understand.
  • Comfortable working closely with a founder-led brand — able to capture voice, shape ideas into content quickly, and balance scrappy execution with elevated taste.
  • Deep knowledge of social algorithms, platform best practices, and content optimization across Instagram + TikTok.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling breakthrough campaigns that drive both engagement and business results.
