Moon Juice is seeking a strategic, commercially minded Senior Director of Product Marketing & Innovation to lead portfolio strategy, product positioning, and the end-to-end innovation pipeline. Reporting directly to the CEO and managing a Brand Manager, this leader will define and deliver a coherent product roadmap grounded in consumer insights, financial discipline, and cross-functional execution. They will partner closely with Product Development, Finance, Operations, and Sales Channels to launch high-performing products and drive sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic thinker and operational driver—someone who can create clarity in a lean, fast-moving environment while building scalable processes for innovation, commercialization, and portfolio management. They have deep experience in health & wellness CPG brands, bring a strong command of product marketing fundamentals, and excel at translating insights into resonant messaging, pricing strategy, claims architecture, and high-impact go-to-market plans. As a senior leader, this person must demonstrate high transparency, low ego, and a collaborative approach that unifies teams around shared priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Innovation Leadership
- Own the full product portfolio strategy, including stage-gate leadership, business cases, financial sizing, and roadmap prioritization.
- Build a 1–3 year innovation pipeline that aligns consumer need states with brand and commercial opportunities.
- Partner with Product Development and Science to define product concepts, claims, forms, and positioning.
- Lead product pricing strategy across channels with clear rationale grounded in consumer value, margin needs, and competitive benchmarks.
Product Positioning, Messaging & Claims
- Own product positioning and messaging frameworks across the entire portfolio.
- Develop product-level claims, partnering with Science and Regulatory to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Write or oversee packaging copy, benefits, CTAs, and messaging hierarchy to ensure clarity and cohesion across all touchpoints
GTM & Commercialization
- Lead cross-functional go-to-market planning for all new product launches across DTC, Amazon, and Retail.
- Partner with channel leaders to build launch calendars, volume forecasts, and commercialization plans.
- Ensure that all teams (Creative, Digital, Sales, Ops, CX) are aligned and enabled for high-quality launch execution.
Consumer Insights & Market Analysis
- Own consumer insights (qual/quant) to inform innovation and positioning decisions.
- Conduct ongoing competitive and category analysis to identify whitespace, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with Demand Planning & Finance to forecast product performance, assess viability, and refresh roadmap as needed.
Monthly Business Reviews
- Lead Monthly Business Reviews to track performance of the different product lines against business KPIs.
- Identify insights behind performance drivers and establish corrective action plans to meet business revenue and profit goals.
- Serve as hub for all product lines performance across all sales channels.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Drive alignment across Product Development, Creative, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to deliver coherent product stories and scalable launches.
- Build processes and SOPs for innovation, packaging, and go-to-market readiness.
- Serve as a central hub of clarity, communication, and decision-making.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop a Brand Manager, fostering excellence, ownership, and cross-functional impact.
- Model low-ego, transparent leadership with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bring structure, discipline, and calm to a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Core Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, innovation, or brand management within wellness CPG. Must have experience in DTC.
- Proven track record owning product positioning, innovation roadmaps, consumer insights, and GTM commercialization.
- Experience developing business cases, sizing opportunities, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end product launches.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, product claims, packaging development, and financial performance drivers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a lean, fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment.
- A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and collaborative ability.
- Comfortable building systems from the ground up and navigating ambiguity with clarity.
