About the Role
Moon Juice is looking for a creative, strategic, and wellness-obsessed Senior Manager of Social + Content to join our fast-growing marketing team. This role will support the VP, Marketing in driving innovation and industry leadership on our social media platforms and will impact content direction across all earned, owned, and paid channels. You will leverage data to optimize performance and explore new ways to drive engagement and brand loyalty, collaborating closely with the Creative and Marketing teams to cement the brand's position as a leader in the wellness space. We are in the process of revamping our social and content strategies, so this role is suited for someone who is excited by creating something new and being a part of the innovation process.
This role requires in-office collaboration 2 days per week in Santa Monica, CA.
Responsibilities
Strategy + Planning:
- Lead the development of platform strategies, including updating playbooks and best practices tailored to Moon Juice’s unique brand identity, as well as go-to-market launch plans for emerging platforms
- Develop a content calendar that aligns with seasonal marketing goals and product launches, ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative across all posts and campaigns
- Develop seasonal campaign toolkits and ensure cross-functional coordination to maintain a consistent brand message
- Ability to streamline processes and develop an eNicient pipeline for asset creation in partnership with Project Manager
- Mentor, inspire and guide a cross-functional team to come up with concepts that elevate the brand and deliver results
Social Platform & Content Creation:
- Drive strategy and execution of global marketing initiatives through content storytelling, ensuring a consistent brand message across platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and others, to drive brand awareness and engagement
- Lead ideation and innovation on social, identifying trends and cultural moments relevant to Moon Juice's audience
- Identify relevant social media trends and cultural moments that translate into unique and ownable concepts for the brand
- Develop clear & thoughtful creative briefs for content and creative teams
- Monitor, measure and analyze the performance of content to enable continuous learning and optimization
- Partner with Marketing to establish an expert / practitioner program that builds brand equity and credibility with the practitioner community, highlighting our credibility + eNicacy in the space
Founder Content Development:
- Collaborate with the founder to craft a social media strategy that reflects their personal brand and supports broader brand growth goals
- Develop a comprehensive content calendar specifically for founder-related content that aligns with Moon Juice marketing messages + brand moments
- Coordinate the logistics of founder content production to ensure high-quality, engaging content is consistently in the pipeline
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, sales, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to social media campaigns and new product launches
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to foster creativity and alignment across departments
- Foster strong relationships with agency partners to facilitate content creation and campaign execution that resonates with our audience
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure that all content is visually appealing, on-brand, and optimized for platform-specific audiences and features
- Coordinate with creative and graphic designers to produce high-quality visuals and video content that enhances the narrative and engagement of each campaign.
Trend Monitoring and Adoption:
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in social media, particularly on TikTok and Instagram
- Adapt and innovate our content strategies to leverage new social media features and consumer behavior shifts
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in social media marketing and communications, with a focus on wellness or beauty
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Proven track record of running successful social media campaigns and fostering communities
- Hands-on experience managing social platforms, analyzing performance, and optimizing strategies to build engagement and brand presence.
- Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas that resonate with Moon Juice’s audience
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence key stakeholders
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
