The Director of Paid Media will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of Moon Juice across our MoonJuice.com and Amazon platforms. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive growth strategies across the funnel, managing paid media campaigns across various channels, and achieving key performance metrics such as Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC). Additionally, you will oversee relationships with paid media agencies and collaborate with internal Brand Marketing and Creative to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce platforms, and emerging advertising channels. The Director of Growth and Paid Media will possess excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and will be passionate about driving results and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This role reports to the VP of Digital and requires in-office collaboration 2 days per week in Santa Monica, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Growth Strategies: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive growth strategies driving to our Shopify ecommerce, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Meta Shop platforms, including customer acquisition, retention, and conversion optimization.
- Paid Media Management: Oversee all aspects of paid media campaigns across various channels, including: Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok Ads, Amazon Ads, Pinterest Ads, CTV (Connected TV) Advertising, YouTube Ads/YouTube TV, Direct Mail Campaigns and Podcast Advertising; and explore and implement new and emerging channels to reach target audiences effectively.
- Budget Management: Manage advertising budgets effectively across multiple channels to ensure optimal allocation of resources and maximize return on investment.
- Achieve ROAS and CAC Targets: Drive efforts to achieve targeted Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) to ensure the profitability of the business. Implement strategies to optimize campaign performance and efficiency to meet or exceed these key performance indicators.
- Paid Media Agency Management: Manage relationships with paid media agencies, including selection, onboarding, and ongoing collaboration. Provide clear direction and guidance to agencies to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. Monitor agency performance and provide feedback as needed to drive continuous improvement.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to track campaign performance across different channels, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. Prepare regular reports to communicate performance metrics and key findings to senior leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, product, and sales to guide the development of high performance creatives that align growth initiatives with overall business objectives. Drive cross-functional initiatives to support growth and expansion efforts across all paid media channels.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce, paid media, and digital marketing. Continually explore and evaluate new channels and technologies to optimize strategies and tactics for maximum impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on paid media and growth.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across multiple platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, CTV, Direct Mail, Podcasts, and other emerging channels.
- Experience in managing relationships with paid media agencies and driving successful collaborations.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and digital advertising technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
