Moon Juice Copywriter

Los Angeles, CA / Full Time / Hybrid

Moon Juice is seeking a collaborative copywriter who is passionate about wellness and sustainability to join our team. This role will create and edit content across a variety of consumer touchpoints including product descriptions, website content, email and SMS campaigns, and advertisements. Working closely with the creative leadership of the brand, the copywriter is a critical role at a time of exciting growth for the business. This person will have the opportunity to explore new methods and mediums to tell the Moon Juice story and be an integral member of the cross-functional team responsible for generating excitement around the brand, launching new products, and educating consumers about our science-based approach to wellness.

Moon Juice HQ is located in Santa Monica, CA and requires in-office collaboration 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal teams to write original copy for a variety of communications, including but not limited to emails, education, ads, landing pages, product packaging, product detail pages, digital customer journeys, customer service FAQs, brand blogs, retail signage, and corporate communications.
• Assist in editing content from freelance writers for SEO blogs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product Development, Digital, and Sales to synchronize communications across various touchpoints along the customer journey.
• Be an enthusiastic member of the team, continuously offering fresh ideas and pitches to help develop messaging and creative concepts.
• Deliver the science mixed with wit and a fun tone to all copy and uphold appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging.
• Research the brand, products, ingredients, scientific studies, medical expertise, market research, and consumer feedback to tailor the messaging and relevancy to different consumer segments.
• Stay on top of relevant cultural and industry trends.
• Experiment with and master direct-response copywriting that drives action and optimizes the performance metrics of our ads, emails, SMS, and landing pages to achieve revenue goals.
• Proofread all content to ensure written materials are clear, concise, and persuasive.
• Maintain the organizational system for all copy and ensure that content is current and consistent across all surfaces. Manage all copy tasks in the project management system.

Core Skills and Qualifications

• 2 years of writing experience from internships and/or previous content roles for a consumer brand or consumer-focused publication.
• Strong communication skills – written, presentation, and interpersonal.
• Highly collaborative, professional, and adaptable.
• Capable of managing multiple assignments on tight deadlines. Able to manage competing priorities with thoroughness while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands.
• Experience with Asana or other project management software.
