About KilgourMD

KilgourMD is one of the fastest-growing D2C beauty brands, with a portfolio anchored by our acclaimed scalp and hair serums, “The Prevention” and “The Treatment.” We combine medical-grade formulation, high-growth brand momentum, and operational excellence to deliver results that resonate deeply with consumers. Now entering our next phase of growth, we are building a world-class analytics and forecasting engine to match our ambitions.

The Role

We're looking for a sharp, analytical Retention Strategist to support our retention & lifecycle function. Reporting to the Director of Retention & Loyalty, you'll execute on subscriber retention, lifecycle campaigns, and ways to boost customer LTV - pulling and synthesizing data, building and deployment email + SMS segments and sends, and helping the team move faster and smarter. This is a high visibility role where your work directly impacts the health of our subscriber base and the bottom line.

What You'll Do

Retention & lifecycle execution

  • Build subscriber segments and cohort analyses to identify at-risk customers and retention opportunities
  • Partner with creative, including external agencies, to brief and develop lifecycle campaign content across email and SMS — from concept through final asset
  • Implement campaigns and flows directly in-platform: building sends, setting up segmentation and triggers, and configuring automations
  • QA every send before it goes live — links, personalization, segmentation logic, rendering, and offer accuracy — and press send
  • Bring a detail obsessed approach to implementation; a single misconfigured segment or broken link can reach thousands of subscribers, so accuracy is non negotiable
  • Monitor key retention metrics (churn, LTV, reorder/replenishment rates, win-back) and surface insights in real time
  • Coordinate with our CRM/ESP platform and subscription management tools to ensure flows and segments are accurate and up to date
  • Own post-campaign reporting - pull results, synthesize what worked, and make recommendations on what to do next

Analysis & reporting

  • Provide analytics team direction to build dashboards tracking subscriber health, campaign performance, and customer lifetime value
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer specific retention questions: cohort comparisons, win-back performance, new-to-subscriber conversion, and more
  • Help develop and test hypotheses around offers, timing, messaging, and segmentation
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for the team
  • Own the full campaign calendar and iterate based on performance

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 -5 years of experience in D2C retention marketing, CRM, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment - ideally within subscription-driven brands
  • Strong experience with Klaviyo, and subscription management platforms such as Recharge, and other CRM platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with large datasets
  • Creative thinker who can go beyond the data and bring fresh ideas to how we engage and retain customers
  • Extremely detail-oriented — you double-check your work, catch errors before they ship, and treat accurate implementation as core to the job, not an afterthought
  • Fast executor who can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and doesn't need a lot of hand-holding
  • Strong written communicator; able to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely
  • Genuine curiosity about customers and what drives their behavior

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Klaviyo, Recharge or Skio, and Shopify, AI platforms experience and desire to experiment
  • Experience in DTC, beauty, or consumer subscription businesses
  • Background in growth marketing or CRM

Why KilgourMD

  • Direct impact on the retention engine of a fast-growing DTC beauty brand
  • Work closely with the Director of Retention & Loyalty and senior leadership from day one
  • Opportunity to build real analytical infrastructure
  • High autonomy, high-impact, remote-first team
  • Fast learning curve with direct executive exposure

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 annual, based on experience
  • Competitive benefits package
  • Flexible, remote-first work schedule
