Connection &Shipping and Receiving Lead - Weekend Shift

About the role
- This role is onsite at our Roanoke, Texas location
- Hourly Rate: $21/hr + annual raise program
- Day Shift: Friday - Sunday, 5 am - 6 pm
- PTO: This role offers paid vacation & sick days

As a Shipping and Receiving Lead, you will oversee daily fulfillment operations while guiding a small team in executing shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes. You’ll ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards, while also mentoring associates and helping the supervisor identify and implement process improvements. This role balances hands-on execution with leadership, making you a key driver of warehouse performance. You will report directly to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and oversee daily fulfillment activities including picking, packing, and shipping to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Lead receiving processes, verifying incoming shipments and directing proper storage of inventory
- Train, mentor, and provide daily guidance to Shipping and Receiving Associates
- Support the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor in tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery, picking accuracy, and inventory variance
- Conduct and oversee cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Take ownership of system data accuracy, including inventory levels, bin locations, and lot tracking
- Identify and drive improvements in workflow, space utilization, and safety practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, modeling best practices for the team
- Step in to perform hands-on shipping/receiving work as needed to support team goals
We're looking for someone who:
- 3+ years of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience, with at least 1 year in a lead, coordinator, or team mentoring role
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory procedures, and shipping/receiving best practices
- Experience operating material handling equipment; forklift certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to guide and motivate team members, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with inventory management systems and basic computer applications
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and proactive in managing responsibilities

- Prior leadership experience in a food and beverage warehouse or similar environment
