About The Role

goop is looking for a motivated Merchandise Planner to help oversee inventory plans and revenue forecasting across its growing goop branded Beauty & Wellness product assortment. Reporting to the Director of Merchandise Planning & Allocation, this role will work to drive optimal inventory levels in lockstep with sales forecasts for the goop Beauty & Wellness business. The successful candidate will partner closely with goop’s internal supply chain and operations teams and work across the organization on product-level sales forecasts, finished good inventory receipts and will regularly communicate overall performance for all goop branded Beauty & Wellness products.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage rolling 18-month sales and inventory forecasts by channel (eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale) for all goop Beauty and Wellness products.
  • Ensure cross-functional supply chain team has visibility into most current demand forecast by product and regularly communicate with the team on upcoming PO needs, orders in progress, and trends in demand for all goop Beauty & Wellness products to ensure planned receipts are in line with most current sales forecasts.
  • Monitor and communicate excess inventory risks for goop branded Beauty & Wellness products and work closely with warehouse operations to ensure products with upcoming expiration are consumed first.
  • Provide regular selling updates on the goop brand Beauty & Wellness categories, with a focus on performance to year prior and budget by product.
  • Create ad hoc analysis as needed to drive improvements within the goop Beauty & Wellness businesses including product lifecycle analysis, new product launch performance, and deep dive into performance trends within marketing channels.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-4 years of planning experience with beauty and/or wellness experience preferred; start-up experience is a plus.
  • Ideal candidate has some experience managing inventory in a made-to-order business model with long lead times, along with experience planning across multiple sales channels (eCommerce, wholesale, retail).
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast paced work environment; must be able to establish priorities and be flexible in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to operate and structure large amounts of data, strong knowledge of Excel is required.
  • Bonus points for experience working in NetSuite and Looker.

FAQ

  • Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 + Equity. This is a full time exempt role. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles, CA based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
