Job Overview
As a Family Caregiver, you are responsible for implementing your care recipient's Care Plan as outlined by their healthcare provider. You will provide care by assisting in scheduled activities and overall care management. The ideal candidate is empathetic, compassionate, and kind, able to use sound judgment and remain calm in various situations.

As a Family Caregiver, you are responsible for implementing your care recipient's Care Plan as outlined by their healthcare provider. You will provide care by assisting in scheduled activities and overall care management. The ideal candidate is empathetic, compassionate, and kind, able to use sound judgment and remain calm in various situations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out assigned tasks on your care recipient's Individual Service Plan (ISP)
- Assist your care recipient with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs (including blood pressure, temperature, respiration) as assigned
- Provide companionship to your care recipient
- Make meaningful observations about your care recipient's health and well-being and communicate them via Daily Notes to your care team
To qualify as a Family Caregiver under the Structured Family Caregiver Program, you must meet specific requirements, including:
- Related to the care recipient by blood, marriage, or adoption
- Reside in the same household as your care recipient at all times
- Unable to work outside the home due to caregiving activities
- Willing and committed to providing care and support services to your care recipient seven days a week for a minimum of five hours per day
- Willing to complete an 8-hour state-approved training program
- Willing to undergo a background check, including criminal history checks and employee misconduct registry checks
