As a Python Developer/Process Engineer at Function, your primary focus will be developing Python scripts, integrating APIs to automate and enhance operations, and supporting the member experience by investigating technical issues and proposing solutions. We value self-starters who can independently identify inefficiencies in our systems and conceive innovative solutions to address them.
Key Responsibilities
- Development Excellence: Craft and refine Python scripts with an emphasis on efficiency and scalability, working primarily within Colab Enterprise and increasingly migrating scripts to repos and deploying via cloud functions.
- API Mastery: Seamlessly integrate key APIs (Intercom, Stripe, Mailgun, Google Sheets) to enhance and automate operational processes.
- Innovative Problem-Solving: Independently discover and address areas for improvement, initiating projects to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Agile Adaptation: Swiftly modify and upgrade scripts in alignment with changing operational needs.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work alongside diverse teams to unearth automation opportunities, developing script-based solutions to streamline processes.
- Quality and Scalability: Ensure integrity, reliability, and scalability of all scripting and API integration efforts.
- Member Experience Triage: Serve as tier 2 support for technical issues impacting members. Investigating bugs, identifying root causes, and either implementing fixes or escalating to the appropriate team with a proposed solution.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Expertise: 3+ years in Python development, specializing in scripting and API integrations. Proficiency in Colab Enterprise and relevant APIs (Intercom, Stripe, Mailgun, Google Sheets). Experience with Git and deploying scripts via cloud functions is a plus.
- Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a penchant for agile, practical solutions. Comfort with debugging and triaging technical issues.
- Communication and Teamwork: Outstanding communication abilities and teamwork skills.
- Language: Basic English proficiency.
- Proactivity: Independent self-starter, and proactive mindset with a strong sense of initiative.
