In this role, you will ensure robust accounting policies, manage compliance with sales tax and ASC 606, oversee audit firm selection, and prepare the company’s financials. Additionally, you will play a key role in planning and executing an ERP system implementation (e.g., NetSuite or similar).</span></div> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Accounting &amp; Compliance:</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Develop, implement, and continuously enhance robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including sales tax regulations and ASC 606 revenue recognition.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Audit &amp; Financial Preparedness:</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Select and manage relationships with external audit firms.</span></li> <li><span>Prepare the company’s financials for annual audits and ensure readiness for external reviews and investor requirements as the company grows.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Systems Implementation:</strong></div> <ul><li><span>Plan, coordinate, and execute the implementation of an ERP system (e.g., NetSuite or similar) to support scalable financial operations.</span></li></ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Collaboration &amp; Strategic Readiness:</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Work closely with the VP Finance and Finance team to align internal controls with broader financial strategy.</span></li> <li><span>Provide key financial insights to the executive team and support operational readiness for future growth initiatives.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>CPA certification is required.</span></li> <li><span>Experience in high-growth environments, ideally with exposure to preparing companies for public market or investor scrutiny.</span></li> <li><span>Extensive background in audit, compliance, and accounting policy development—with a strong focus on establishing and enhancing robust internal controls.</span></li> <li><span>Demonstrated success in transitioning to ERP system implementation (experience with NetSuite or similar preferred).</span></li> <li><span>Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for process improvement in fast-paced, tech-oriented companies (tech experience is ideal; healthcare experience is a plus, but not required).</span></li> <li><span>Build, lead, and delegate to a high-performing accounting team—recruiting, mentoring, and empowering team members to drive continuous process improvements and seamless in-house operations.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>To be a strong fit you also need:</strong></div> <ul> <li> <strong>Bias Toward Action:</strong><span> Demonstrated ability to take initiative, make decisions under uncertainty, and move initiatives forward even in the face of ambiguity.
