Function fosters a collaborative and dynamic environment, where every day we are building the future.</div> <div><br></div> <h3> <strong>Role</strong>:</h3> <div>Function Health is looking for a Design Operations Program Manager to bring structure, clarity, and efficiency to our design org. In this role, you’ll drive operational excellence across complex initiatives, scale programs that enable great design work, and ensure seamless collaboration between design and cross-functional partners. You’ll be instrumental in building the systems, processes, and rituals that help our design team focus, move fast, and deliver high-impact experiences.</div> <div><br></div> <h3> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</h3> <ul> <li> <strong>Workload Management: T</strong>riage, prioritize, and balance workloads for incoming requests and feedback needing design support.</li> <li> <strong>Cross-Functional Initiative Leadership:</strong> Help organize and drive design and product team initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines, multiple dependencies, and many moving parts.</li> <li> <strong>Strategic Decision-Making:</strong> Prioritize, assess tradeoffs, propose clear solutions, and communicate strategically.</li> <li> <strong>Program Ownership:</strong> Identify, define, and manage multi-team strategic initiatives that drive efficiency and impact, often contributing best practices to the design discipline.</li> <li> <strong>Meeting Facilitation:</strong> Own and facilitate meetings to drive progress against design team goals and objectives, establish clear next steps and owners, and resolve blocks that impede progress.</li> <li> <strong>Risk Management:</strong> Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for larger teams.</li> <li> <strong>Subject-Matter Expertise:</strong> Be sought out as the operations subject-matter expert for driving design operations best practices, mentoring, and sharing in-depth knowledge with team members.</li> <li> <strong>Persuasive Communication:</strong> Communicate persuasively to the right audience to get buy-in and feedback.</li> <li> <strong>Information Management:</strong> Proactively problem-solve and distribute information effectively.</li> <li> <strong>Impact Measurement:</strong> Define and measure the impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively, continually refining and iterating to ensure usage and adoption.</li> <li> <strong>Program Scalability:</strong> Scale programs and initiatives when necessary and delegate effectively with clear expectations.</li> <li> <strong>Vendor &amp; Budget Oversight:</strong> Source and manage operational budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.</li> </ul> <h3><br></h3> <h3> <strong>Qualifications/Skills</strong>:</h3> <ul> <li> <strong>Program &amp; Design Experience:</strong> 4+ years of experience in program or project management, including at least 1 year of experience supporting Design teams.</li> <li> <strong>Cross-functional design Collaboration:</strong> Experience working directly with product designers, user experience researchers, and content designers.</li> <li> <strong>Self-Directed Execution:</strong> Demonstrated ability to work independently while proactively seeking feedback and input where appropriate.</li> <li> <strong>Project &amp; Stakeholder Management:</strong> Proven track record of managing time-critical projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities and a broad range of stakeholders.</li> <li> <strong>Vendor &amp; Contractor Oversight:</strong> Experience managing vendors and design contractors.</li> <li> <strong>Data-Informed Problem Solving:</strong> Experience using data to identify problems and effectively communicate solutions.</li> </ul> <h3><br></h3> <h3> <strong>To be a strong fit you also need</strong>:</h3> <ul> <li> <strong>Bias Toward Action:</strong> Demonstrated ability to take initiative, make decisions under uncertainty, and move projects forward even in the face of ambiguity.
