About the Opportunity

The finance team is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant with an established knowledge of vendor and credit card payments, expense report processing, prepaid and accrual accounting. This position reports to the Controller. You will support a range of accounting responsibilities, from AP to supporting monthly close activities. You will play a crucial role in implementing system enhancements to streamline current processes and will have opportunities to participate in special cross-functional projects. We are looking for an accountable individual who will take ownership of their function to drive it to the next level.

What You’ll Do (Job Responsibilities)

  • Perform month-end close assignments, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, and analysis of variances
  • Manage the accounts payable functions; ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice entry pursuant to vendor terms; make sure that vendor invoices are approved by the responsible party and timely assigned for payment; onboard new vendors into Bill.com
  • Onboard new employees into Expensify; process expense reimbursements in Expensify (cash and credit card charges); assist employees with any expense report submission issues
  • Support scaling our processes through automation by working on system implementations and enhancements
  • Perform other special projects, technical accounting research, financial analysis and any additional duties as assigned by Controller
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other departments, internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with audit and tax requests

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA a plus
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, 1+ year in a senior role a plus; experience with multi-entities business structure
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details, excellent accuracy and completeness, and adherence to strict deadlines
  • Must be comfortable communicating with management across all departments regarding cost allocations, account variances, invoice approvals, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Strong Excel skills, and working knowledge of Google applications
  • Working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems including NetSuite, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify
