We are pioneering the development of a new model of psilocybin treatment, in which our proprietary formulation of synthetic psilocybin (which has received breakthrough therapy designation from the FDA) is administered with psychological support. We are currently in phase 3 study for treatment-resistant depression (TRD), and phase 2 for both post-traumatic stress disorder and anorexia nervosa. Role introduction:

The Project Coordinator, Legal and Compliance will be responsible for management of legal and compliance projects and will act as a business process partner for compliance processes. The Project Coordinator will also provide administrative support for the Legal team.

Reports to: VP Risk & Compliance and will also support members of the Legal team.

Location: Remote in the United Kingdom or hybrid/office based in our London office.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Project coordination: planning and management of legal and compliance projects and initiatives, including assessment and management of risks, change management, and supporting delivery of project outcomes and benefits
  • Process oversight: coordination of legal and compliance processes e.g., data privacy, third party contract management, fair market value payments to healthcare professionals, Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) Review, and compliance review of technical publications and conference presentations
  • Process design and implementation: working with the process owner to introduce appropriate legal and compliance processes as Compass moves towards commercialisation; supporting continuous improvement for existing processes
  • Communication and engagement: development and delivery of legal and compliance communications, training and awareness activities
  • Governance and oversight: organising governance meetings, coordination of compliance reviews, and provision of management information and reporting
  • Document management: implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures, managing non-disclosure agreements, records of compliance reviews, meeting minutes etc on DocuSign, SharePoint, DPOrganizer, Master Control or similar systems
  • Administration: responding to enquiries directed to shared mailboxes, managing calendars, organising meetings and calls with internal and external participants, booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation, raising purchase orders, collating and filing expenses, SharePoint management. May be required to provide ad hoc support to other executives
  • Office Management: May occasionally perform basic office management tasks and cover ad-hoc duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations of our London office

Candidate profile:

  • A background in the Life Sciences with appropriate qualifications; this is not essential if relevant legal and compliance experience in other sectors can be demonstrated
  • Project coordination and management experience, preferably with a supporting qualification such as the APM Project Management Fundamentals (PFQ) (or willing to work towards qualification)
  • Excellent implementation, logistical and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint), Adobe (including advanced PDF handling), and DocuSign
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with external and internal contacts
  • Strong attention to detail. Discreet and trustworthy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently. Ability to multi-task and work in multidisciplinary and multiple teams
