About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and talented Senior Manager, Creative Designer to collaborate and create at Chief. As the Senior Creative Designer, you will play a pivotal role in developing our marketing campaigns, design aesthetics, and IRL member experiences. Your innovative thinking, strong design skills, and leadership abilities will be essential in elevating our brand and driving advocacy among current and potential new members.
What you’ll do:
- Creative Design: Design and produce high-quality marketing materials, including but not limited to, print collateral, digital graphics, email marketing, presentations, and videos, adhering to brand guidelines. Create visually engaging and innovative designs that communicate the brand's message effectively.
- Art Direction: Provide art direction and guidance to junior designers and external agencies, ensuring all creative materials adhere to brand standards and are on-brand.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of designers, and when needed freelancers. Delegate tasks effectively, manage workloads, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality design projects. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement. The team will be small to start and expand as business needs demand.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Work closely with project managers to allocate resources effectively and resolve any potential roadblocks. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing feedback.
- Brand Strategy: Contribute to the development and evolution of the brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and visual representation. Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging campaigns that resonate with the target audience and drive brand awareness.
30/60/90 day plan (if available):
- 30: Learn systems / evaluate tools, create business cases for new tools/systems needed. Get to know the marketing team and build rapport with all key stakeholders. Review onboarding materials (member & market insights, OKRs, monthly business review decks, etc). Do an audit of all past & existing design assets including videos. Deliver: a few new ads for Q4 LinkedIn campaign.
- 60: Develop briefs with Growth team leads for additional ad and lead gen assets for Q4 paid campaign, work with Lifecycle & Growth teams to codify design needs for email templates (Braze is being implemented) and with Revenue & Product Marketing team to contemplate opportunities to evolve sales materials. Hire Digital Designer.
- 90: Support CD in building / implementing a digital + IRL creative asset production strategy that scales to support cross-functional teams. Roll out enhanced Braze email templates to support Member Marketing and Growth Marketing/Lead Gen. Deliver v1 of designs for overhauled corporate websites (accessible by potential new members). This includes a newly launched blog.

- You have a track record of building effective relationships and delivering stunning creative on time, on budget, with a smile.
- You love developing and presenting fresh campaign concepts and provide a safe, welcoming space for others to give feedback and contribute innovative ideas.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a design/direction role, preferably in technology, hospitality, or events.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including print and digital design, branding, and art direction.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to articulate and justify creative choices.

The base salary for this role is: $150,000
