Join us in building the next generation of personalized neuroscience-based therapeutics.Primary RoleWe are seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Science & Site Education to lead a team responsible for providing scientific, clinical, and protocol-specific education to clinical trial sites. This role will oversee day-to-day site education and engagement activities, support team development and performance, and serve as a key liaison between Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, and investigational sites. The Manager will also maintain direct site engagement to understand site needs, address barriers, and support high-quality study execution and recruitment.What you'll doTeam ManagementManage, coach, and develop a team of Clinical Science & Site Educators.Set priorities, allocate site coverage, and oversee day-to-day team activities.Ensure consistent, high-quality scientific and protocol education across sites.Support team performance, development, and onboarding.Clinical & Scientific EducationOversee and participate in protocol, indication, rating scale, and mechanism-of-action training for investigators and site staff.Ensure sites understand scientific rationale, endpoints, eligibility criteria, and safety considerations.Oversee development and maintenance of site educational materials.Provide ongoing scientific support and reinforce GCP, protocol compliance, and data integrity.Site Engagement & SupportOversee site education and engagement activities across assigned studies.Identify site-specific knowledge gaps, recruitment barriers, and support needs.Partner with Clinical Operations on SIVs, investigator meetings, refresher training, and targeted site support.Support enrollment through education on patient identification, eligibility criteria, protocol nuances, and referral pathways.Maintain direct engagement with sites and external stakeholders as needed.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Data Management, and other Alto teams.Consolidate site and team insights and communicate recurring trends, risks, and opportunities to study teams.Contribute site-facing perspectives to protocol development, amendments, and study materials.Ensure consistent scientific and protocol messaging across the educator team.Continuous ImprovementEstablish and maintain consistent site education tools, processes, and best practices.Gather feedback from sites and the educator team to improve training and support.Stay current on therapeutic area knowledge, competitive landscape, and regulatory expectations.LocationRemote with approx 50% travel (2-3 days/week)Salary Range$160k-175k*depending on qualifications and experience levelTravel Required50% travel (2-3 days/week)QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: Strong understanding of clinical trial design, GCP, and site operations.Experience supporting clinical trial recruitment, patient identification, and referral pathways.Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, practical guidance.Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate across multiple functions and stakeholders.Willingness and ability to travel more than 50% of the time; access to a major metropolitan airport required.Flexible, growth-oriented, solution-focused, and outcomes-driven.Bonus Skills/Abilities: Direct psychiatric clinical care experience and/or experience as a Clinical Scientist, Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Trial Educator, or similar role.Experience training investigators and site staff in interventional clinical trials.CNS experience, particularly psychiatry.Experience with virtual training platforms and learning management systems.Supervisory Responsibilities:Prior people management, team leadership, or demonstrated coaching experience.Education and Experience:Advanced degree strongly preferred (PhD, PharmD, MD, MS, PA, NP, RN, MSW) in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.5+ years of experience in psychiatric clinical care, clinical research, clinical science, medical affairs, or site education; clinical research experience required.Alto Neuroscience is an equal-opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of sex, age, race, color, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
